Home Sweet Home...

We moved into our new house today. We are not officially staying the night until tomorrow but we did have the housing inspector out and the Army dropped off some rental furniture.

This is the standard Army issue sofa and chairs in our living room.

The Army calls these closets...So unattractive and Javin is trying to figure out some way to cover them up!!!!

This is our guest room for now, but this bed is the one we will be sleeping in until our stuff arrives.

Our little apartment is super cute and clean! I am really looking forward to getting our stuff in there.

Memorial Day...

Today Javin and I spent the day in Vilseck. We had lunch at a little greek restaurant then walked around town for a while to see some of the big sites that Vilseck has to offer.

This is a picture of a monument. It has names listed and the years they died. All during the second World War. It is located right outside of the towns church.

The church was not open today so we looked around the outside and found this plaque. It says that the church was built in the baroque style in 1407.

This is a graveyard located on the church grounds.

This little underground passage is right outside the castle in town. I assume it is some sort of tunnel under the old gates.

This is the inside of our castle. Apparently they are renovating!!!

And this is the main drag in Vilseck. The restaurants, shoe stores, clothing stores, and banks are all on this road.

After we walked around town, we came back to our drag and had some gelato. It was delicious. We walked back to post and had dinner in our room. Tonight is our last night in the honeymoon suite, we move in tomorrow!

No news is good news...

There is nothing new to report, just haven't updated in a while! We are waiting to move into our house on tuesday morning and have been trying to track our belongings on the internet with no success. Guess we will just be surprised! We are thinking they will be here sometime next week....maybe!

It is a four day weekend for Memorial day, but my sweet husband has to work! He has been going to Nuremberg to welcome home soldiers from deployment. The come back on post in big buses that are preceded by the Military Police. Our hotel room sits right on the main road through post and I enjoy watching the buses drive by. I know those soldiers must be so ready to see their loved ones. Makes me thankful I can see my husband everyday.

Looking for a job and will post more details about that later!

Happy Cola...

We went and signed out lease today and I finally got to see our new home! Javin did a nice job. I like it ALOT, and it has some potential.

The landlords only speak germany, and Javin and I only speak english. So therein poses the problem. We totally go through the signing with little confusion. Ernst had to call his son in Switzerland, who speaks english, to translate.

We move in next weekend and our things should be here a week or so after that. We are so excited.

Javin bought be these Happy Cola gummies and it made me miss my mom and dad. Love you guys, can't wait for you to come see us! There are plenty more Happy Colas and Happy Cherries for when you arrive!!!!!!!!

Texas Toast....Maybe You've Heard of It!

Just shocked to see our state represented here at the Commissary in Germany! I am not a huge fan of Texas Toast, but it is still nice to see!

Javin and I went to Graf yesterday to check out the post and go shopping. Big Day!!!!

Graduation....

I know this is technically not Army Life stuff, but it is our life.

After graduation with Mom and Dad.
 Dr. Burkes!
 M.S, CF-SLP
It was hard to say goodbye, but we are all on to bigger and better things! Thank you to all my girls, couldn't have made it without you!

NOTE: Javin, the Walkers, and Justin and Jennifer were able to watch through the live feed that Harding provided. What would we do without technology.

And here is the outside, our landlords live on the bottom floor and we live on the top!!!! Yay.
