Today Javin and I spent the day in Vilseck. We had lunch at a little greek restaurant then walked around town for a while to see some of the big sites that Vilseck has to offer.
This is a picture of a monument. It has names listed and the years they died. All during the second World War. It is located right outside of the towns church.
The church was not open today so we looked around the outside and found this plaque. It says that the church was built in the baroque style in 1407.
This is a graveyard located on the church grounds.
This little underground passage is right outside the castle in town. I assume it is some sort of tunnel under the old gates.
This is the inside of our castle. Apparently they are renovating!!!
And this is the main drag in Vilseck. The restaurants, shoe stores, clothing stores, and banks are all on this road.
After we walked around town, we came back to our drag and had some gelato. It was delicious. We walked back to post and had dinner in our room. Tonight is our last night in the honeymoon suite, we move in tomorrow!

Looks like a very charming place!
ReplyDeleteFun day! Tina could do wonders with those walls and color selections. Glad you were able to get out and check out the town. Be sure and blog tomorrow. We all are anxiously awaiting your report. Moving in should take about 15 minutes!
